Welcome to Harken Back 2 Christ.

My name is Sierra Gutierrez, and I'm so grateful you're here.

I am a Catholic wife, mother, catechist, and Secular Carmelite aspirant with a deep love for Jesus Christ and His Church. Like many people, my faith journey has been filled with seasons of joy, struggle, questions, growth, and God's abundant mercy. Through each season, I have come to realize that Christ never stops calling us to Himself.

Harken Back 2 Christ was born in 2023 from a simple desire: to encourage others to draw closer to Jesus Christ through Scripture, prayer, and the rich teachings of the Christian faith. Whether you are exploring Catholcism for the first time, returning to the Church after many years, or seeking to deepen your relationship with God, my prayer is that you will find hope, encouragement, and truth here.

As a catechist, I have the privilege of walking alongside others as they grow in their understanding of the Catholic faith. My Carmelite spirituality has also taught me the beauty of a life rooted in prayer, silence, and a deeper friendship with God. While I am still on my own journey of faith, I have learned that every step taken toward Christ is a step worth taking.

On this website you'll find Scripture reflections, blog articles, prayers, Catholic resources, and encouragement for everyday life. My hope is to create a place where faith is strengthened, questions are welcomed, and hearts are drawn closer to Christ.

The name Harken Back 2 Christ reflects the invitation that Jesus extends to each of us, to return to Him again and again. No matter where we have been or what our past looks like, His mercy is always greater, and His invitation remains the same: "Come, follow Me."

My prayer is that everything shared through this ministry points not to me, but to Jesus Christ. If even one person grows closer to Him because of something they read here, then this ministry has fulfilled its purpose.
