"Be still, and know that I am God."

In the middle of a busy day, it is easy to become distracted by work, responsibilities, and life's many demands. Midday Prayer offers us an opportunity to pause, thank God for His presence, and ask for the grace to continue the day with renewed faith, patience, and charity.

Even a few moments spent with the Lord can bring peace to a restless heart and remind us that He walks with us in every moment.

"Be still, and know that I am God."

Midday Prayer is traditionally prayed around noon or during a break in the day. It is an opportunity to pause, refocus on God, and entrust the remainder of the day to His loving care.

The Church's official Daytime Prayer is part of the Liturgy of the Hours and may be prayed at midmorning, midday, or midafternoon.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.  Amen.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your faithful presence throughout this day. As I pause in the midst of my work and responsibilities, quiet my heart and renew my spirit.

Grant me wisdom in my decisions, patience in my trials, and charity toward everyone I encounter. Help me to remain faithful in both the ordinary and the unexpected moments of this day.

Strengthen me to do Your will with joy and perseverance. May all that I say and do give glory to You.

Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and all the saints, keep me close to Your Son, Jesus Christ.

Amen.

Midday Prayer reminds us that our relationship with God is not confined to Sunday Mass or the beginning and end of the day. Christ desires to be present in every conversation, every task, and every moment of our lives.

By pausing to pray, we renew our awareness of His presence and invite Him to guide us through the remainder of the day.
