"Into your hands, Lord, I commend my spirit."

As the day comes to a close, the Church invites us to enter into Compline, also known as Night Prayer, the final prayer of the Liturgy of the Hours. It is a time to quiet our hearts, reflect on the blessings and challenges of the day, seek God's mercy for our shortcomings, and entrust ourselves to His loving care before we sleep.

Whether your day has been filled with joy, trials, or ordinary moments, God is waiting to receive you with peace. In the stillness of the evening, we remember that His mercy is new every morning and His faithful love never fails.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the gift of this day. Thank You for every grace You have poured into my life, both seen and unseen. Forgive me for the times I have failed to love You and my neighbor as I should.

Grant peace to my heart, protection to my family, comfort to those who are suffering, and eternal rest to the faithful departed.

As I sleep tonight, surround me with Your holy angels. Keep me safe from all evil, strengthen my faith, and prepare my heart to serve You with joy when a new day begins.
